The P-poll
What it is Short for preference poll, the P-poll is a simple tool that would have U.S. Reps solicit our opinions on laws that they propose. Like the example on the home page, it would be a yes-or-no poll, that’s all.
How it would work Like voting, the P-poll would be voluntary. If you chose to register you would get an email or text message from your U.S. Representative anytime a bill was up for a vote in the House. The message might look something like this:
To: You S. Citizen From: Your U.S. Representative Subject: Poll of your voting preferences regarding HR 101-104 Message: Hi, it's me again. Thanks for registering for representation. I'm preparing to speak for you in the U.S. Congress. Please tell me how you think I should vote on these bills.
